Track 5: So Warm

You'll probably notice right away that this song sounds dramatically different from the first song I offered you, "The Lights Go Down at Eight O'Clock." First of all, this is a ballad (I'm taking the Elton John route here; his shows typically alternate between rockers and slower tunes). Second, this is less reliant on electronics, which is more in keeping with most of this music project.
I wrote "So Warm" as an accompaniment to my novel The Forever Year. If you've read that novel, imagine Mickey singing this to Gina as their relationship begins to heat up. If you haven't read The Forever Year this handy link will make it super-easy for you to remedy that. This isn't something I normally do. In fact, I haven't done it since, though I do have an entire nine-song cycle in my head to accompany my novel Blue. But I wanted to capture the whole unabashed-ness of first love in that book, and it seemed to warrant a song. I hope you enjoy it.
SO WARM
Music and Lyrics by Lou Aronica
So warm
I feel your body next to mine
And I know I've never felt like this before
So close
To saying what we want to say
We don't have to say it for a couple of days
I think you love me
Oh God, what caused this turn of events?
And I'm gonna pray forever and a day that you'll be with me forever
So good
To have you in my arms tonight
I'm aware of everything we're doing
So right
The feeling that we're getting
Tonight will never ever be forgotten
I say I love you
And I've never said that before
And I'm gonna pray forever and a day that you'll be with me forever
I say I love you
And I've never said that before
And I'm gonna pray forever and a day that you'll be with me forever
I really want you to be forever
